PROJECT UPDATE: BLACKPOOL TOWER WINS ENGINEERING HERITAGE AWARD

BWB has played a key role over the past 25 years in the regular assessment and essential on-going maintenance of Blackpool Tower, one of the UK’s best known tourist landmarks. We’re therefore delighted that the iconic structure has been selected as the winner of a prestigious engineering heritage award. The 120 year-old tower was chosen as the recipient of the inaugural Civil Engineering Heritage Award by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) North West Region, beating 12 other entries including Manchester’s recently refurbished Victoria Railway Station.
